Center for Artificial Intelligence in Science and Engineering (ARTISAN)
The Center for Artificial Intelligence in Science and Engineering (ARTISAN) aims to accelerate advances in science and engineering by integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence techniques. We are dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary research, cultivating the next generation of AI experts, and developing innovative solutions that address complex challenges in our world. ARTISAN is ready to work with faculty and collaborators at Georgia Tech on improving and facilitating their Cyberinfrastructure requirements, identifying the enhancement to existing research from AI integration and work toward achieving the goals.
The Center for Scientific Software Engineering
Center for Scientific Software Engineering (CSSE), established in late 2021, is one of four centers under Schmidt Sciences’ Virtual Institute for Scientific Software. The other centers are located at Johns Hopkins University, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Washington. CSSE’s mission is to advance and support scientific research by applying modern software engineering practices, cutting-edge technologies, and modern tools to the development of scientific software both within and outside Georgia Tech. Additionally, CSSE is committed to engaging with students and researchers to train the next generation of software engineering leaders.
Center for Computational Molecular Science and Technology
CCMST collects researchers from across campus who work on the development and application of molecular simulation theories, algorithms, and software, with applications to biomolecules and materials.
Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI)
The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is the nonprofit, applied research organization of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). GTRI is a designated University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) and leverages its science and engineering expertise, in collaboration with Georgia Tech, to enhance the impact of our collective research output.
Machine Learning Center (ML@GT)
The Machine Learning Center was founded in 2016 as an interdisciplnary research center (IRC) at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Since then, we have grown to include over 190 affiliated faculty members and 60 Ph.D. students, all publishing at world-renowned conferences. The center aims to research and develop innovative and sustainable technologies using machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) that serve our community in socially and ethically responsible ways.

AI4Science
AI4Science is a College of Sciences-wide Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) in Sciences that fosters collaborations among faculty members across the college to drive innovation at the intersection of AI/ML and traditional scientific disciplines.
The Center advances interdisciplinary research by organizing biweekly seminars, hosting biannual conferences, and providing seed funding for collaborative projects across Georgia Tech.
